Chocolate Cake

An easy, fluffy and delicious Chocolate Cake, using no eggs!!!




The Ingredients

3 cups self-rising flour, sifted
3/4 cup olive oil
1 ½ cup brown sugar
2 cups tap water
3 tablespoons vinegar
4-5 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa
1 teaspoon soda bicarbonate
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
1 teaspoon orange zest
1 cup dark chocolate drops
2 tablespoons icing sugar

Instructions


1. Preheat the oven to 180 ° C.
Line a 24-26 cm cake-tin with waxed paper.


2. In a mixing bowl, mix the flour, cocoa, soda bicarbonate, vanilla and salt.
3. Combine remaining ingredients, and add to flour mixture. Stir, until thoroughly blended, do not overmix. Add the chocolate drops and stir to evenly share.




4. Pour the mix in the cake-tin and bake uncovered for 50 to 60 minutes, longer if your cake-tin is tall.




5. When done, remove from the oven, and let it cool for about 10 minutes. Remove the cake from the cake-tin and transfer to a wire rack. Let it cool to room temperature.




6. Sift the icing sugar in a decorative pattern on top and serve.
