Light Tuna Salad in Arabic Pita Bread

Delicious Tuna Salad without extra fat in Arabic Pita Bread!
Prefer tuna in water and add extra virgin olive oil, chopped vegetables, pickled cucumber. You will have a very tasty snack!


2 large fine Arabic pita bread
2 tender leaves of lettuce or salad or radish
2 tablespoons ketchup (optional)
4 large toothpicks

1 can of tuna in water, drained (185g)
2 pickled cucumbers chopped
½ fresh tomato, without seeds, finely chopped
1 small dry onion, finely chopped
1 tablespoon parsley, chopped
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon mustard
1 tablespoon spicy ketchup
½ teaspoon dried oregano
Freshly ground pepper


Chop and mix in the bowl all the solid ingredients of salad.

Add freshly ground pepper, olive oil, mustard and ketchup and mix well.

Lay pita bread on a try. Cover with salad leaves and sprinkle with a tablespoon of ketchup.

Spread half of tuna salad on one side of pita and roll carefully.
Fill second pita bread in the same way.

Serve stuffed pitas cut in the middle and pinch each piece with a toothpick.
